EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
As the Senior Administrative Assistant for Finance, you’ll take on a blend of high-level administrative support, cross-department coordination, and project assistance. You will:

Serve as a welcoming and responsive point of contact for internal staff, executive leadership, City Council offices, vendors, and members of the public

Manage phones, email, mail, and web-based inquiries with professionalism and accuracy

Organize and maintain digital and physical documents, including scanning, filing, data entry, and reconciliation to ensure information accuracy

Support Finance operations by coordinating meetings, trainings, events, travel arrangements, and department calendars

Draft and prepare letters, memos, presentations, reports, forms, and official correspondence

Assist in researching, compiling, analyzing, and preparing finance-related reports and documentation

Submit and track IT and facility work tickets for the department

Prepare documents for City Manager and City Council review and manage items through systems such as Legistar

Serve as a liaison between Finance and other City departments to ensure smooth communication and workflow

Support confidential and specialized projects for the CFO and departmental leadership

Provide guidance and serve as a resource for other administrative staff on department processes

Update webpages and maintain data in online databases as needed
