Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all customers. This role is essential in providing high-quality custodial services and requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to maintain the appearance of floors.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, restocking supplies as necessary.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Follow established procedures for cleaning and sanitizing surfaces to promote health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and equipment operation is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining facilities and ensuring a clean environment.
