Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Dishwasher/Food Prep team member to join our dynamic culinary environment. Responsibilities
- Properly wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients according to established recipes and safety guidelines.
- Support the culinary team in meal preparation by following recipes, portioning ingredients accurately, and ensuring timely delivery of prepared items.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station by adhering to safety standards in production and food handling procedures.
- Help with food storage by rotating stock properly and ensuring proper labeling to prevent spoilage or cross-contamination.
- Follow all food safety protocols including proper knife skills, slicing techniques, and sanitation practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Assist in catering or special event setups when needed, supporting serving staff with timely food delivery.
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Experience working in food service environments such as restaurants or kitchens is highly valued.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production is crucial.
- Basic culinary skills including knife handling, slicing techniques, meal preparation, and food handling are preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods while performing cleaning or food prep tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness, safety, and quality control.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately in a fast-paced environment.
