The opportunity
You will take ownership of a recurring maintenance route of residential and commercial accounts, visited on schedules ranging from twice monthly to once per quarter. After training, you will usually work independently in a company vehicle and become the familiar, trusted face our clients see at their homes and businesses.
Your job is to keep every pond healthy, attractive, and operating correctly; keep every client informed; and keep every visit, note, recommendation, and follow-up organized. The right person notices small problems before they become expensive ones and does not leave a property until the work meets our standard.
What you will be responsible for
Own a recurring route. Plan and complete scheduled visits efficiently, arrive within communicated windows, track service frequency, and make sure no account or follow-up is overlooked.
Communicate with clients. Confirm or communicate route timing as required, greet clients professionally, explain what was completed, answer routine questions, fill out our internal forms and communicate concerns or recommendations clearly wit management and clients..
Maintain excellent water quality. Make appropriate adjustments within company procedures, monitor algae and clarity, and protect the health of fish and aquatic plants.
Keep ponds beautiful. Remove debris, clean skimmers and filters, manage algae, trim or tidy aquatic plants, clean viewing areas and edges, and leave the water feature and surrounding work area noticeably better than you found it.
Inspect the entire system. Check pumps, plumbing, filtration, water levels, autofills, lighting, waterfalls, and visible components. Identify leaks, failing equipment, abnormal fish behavior, or other concerns early.
Perform seasonal and deep cleaning. Complete full pond drain-and-cleans and safely net, handle, hold, and return koi and other pond fish.
Document every visit. Record work completed, water-quality observations, equipment concerns, products used, client conversations, photos and videos, and needed follow-up accurately and promptly.
Protect the client experience. Respect the property, close gates, keep hoses and tools controlled, clean up completely, drive and park considerately, and communicate immediately if something does not go as planned.
Recommend needed work. Recognize repairs, upgrades, treatments, or additional services that would benefit the client, document the need, and communicate it without using high-pressure sales tactics.
Care for company resources. Keep the assigned vehicle, tools, tanks, testing supplies, and service materials clean, stocked, organized, and ready for the next day.
