Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Music Instructors specializing in Musical Theatre Voice, Classical Piano, and Dance to inspire and nurture the artistic talents of students across all ages. Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to diverse student needs and skill levels in voice, piano, or dance.
- Deliver engaging, energetic lessons that incorporate both visual and performing arts techniques to enhance student learning experiences.
- Manage classroom environments effectively, ensuring a positive, inclusive space conducive to creativity and growth.
- Provide individualized instruction on piano, dance techniques, choreography, or theatrical performance/voice to foster technical mastery.
- Incorporate elements of choreography, dance instruction, and theater into lesson plans to promote expressive movement and stage presence.
- Track student progress through assessments, feedback sessions, and portfolio development; adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Support youth programs by creating age-appropriate activities that encourage participation in arts education; manage behavior and maintain classroom discipline.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children and youth in arts education settings; familiarity with early childhood education or preschool environments is a plus.
- Strong background in teaching performing arts, including music (vocal & piano), dance (ballet, contemporary), and/or theater performance.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles across creative arts disciplines.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques combined with experience in behavior management and childhood development.
- Skills in choreography, dance instruction, musical instruments (piano or voice), and teaching instrumental performance are highly desirable.
- Experience working with special education needs or implementing inclusive teaching strategies is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and backgrounds; experience tutoring or adult education is beneficial.
