Responsibilities
As the Second Shift LPN Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise and lead the first-shift nursing and caregiving team
- Provide clinical oversight to ensure quality resident care and regulatory compliance
- Administer medications according to physician orders, state regulations, and facility policies
- Deliver hands-on nursing care and assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed
- Participate in resident assessments under the direction of the Resident Care Director
- Train, coach, mentor, and monitor care staff to promote quality and consistency
- Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, families, physicians, and team members during your shift
- Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in health status
- Participate in care plan meetings and implement individualized care plans
- Complete accurate clinical documentation and required monthly in-service education
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Virginia Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care
Preferred:
- Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience
- Experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Long-Term Care, Skilled Nursing, or Geriatric Nursing
