Job Title: Maintenance Helper I
Description of Job:
A Maintenance Helper I is responsible for performing general maintenance tasks such as machine cleaning, assembly, disassembly, and minor repairs. Additionally a Maintenance Helper I is responsible for performing similar tasks on the facility and grounds as requested.
Objectives:
The main objective Maintenance Helper I is to aid the maintenance department in ensuring the facility and the equipment is in proper working order

Job Requirements
Education:
A high school degree or the equivalent is required.
Physical Capabilities:
The Maintenance Helper I must have the ability to perform normal duties of walking, standing, lifting, etc.
Experience:
The Maintenance Helper I must have a basic understanding of equipment maintenance and repair.
Knowledge:
The Maintenance Helper I must possess a basic knowledge of the proper care of electromechanical equipment and its care.
Duties
Direct Responsibilities:
Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of all machinery, support equipment, and internal power delivery systems.
- Work within the ERP system (DMS) to keep track of maintenance work orders
- Monitor progress of work to ensure timely response
- Work with production management to ensure minimal production interruption and machine downtime
Subordinate departments
Scheduling and Planning
- Determine appropriate spare parts and inventory levels for organization
- Keep abreast of equipment problems
- Help determine action plans to minimize downtime
- Work with production to determine best course of action to get equipment running when breakdowns occur
Other
- The candidate should have a solid technical background in most of the current production areas.
- The candidate should be able to manage multiple priorities and perform well under pressure..
- Should be willing to put in the time necessary to be sure that the job gets done on schedule in spite of unforeseen difficulties.

Pay: $16.00 - $24.00 per hour
