Established (90+ Years) Premier Firm Seeking Civil Litigation Attorney for Commercial and Labor & Employment Defense in New Orleans, LA
An established firm based in New Orleans, LA with over 90 years in practice is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with 3-7+ years of litigation experience to join their team onsite. This role focuses on labor & employment and commercial litigation defense, representing employers and businesses in state and federal court across Louisiana.
Offer: Salary range: $130,000+, contingent on experience

Qualifications: 3-7+ years of civil litigation experience, with labor & employment and/or commercial litigation defense strongly preferred
Demonstrated experience defending employers and businesses in workplace and commercial disputes, including discrimination, wage & hour, contract, and business tort matters
Juris Doctorate and active Louisiana Bar membership in good standing
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills, with experience managing complex matters independently
Track record of taking ownership of cases, driving strategy, and meeting court deadlines
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and professionalism
Responsibilities: Defending businesses and employers in commercial, labor, and employment litigation
Handling cases through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation
Drafting and arguing dispositive and procedural motions in state and federal court
Conducting and defending depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
Advising clients on litigation strategy, exposure, and resolution options
Collaborating with partners and senior litigators on complex commercial and employment matters
Maintaining active communication with clients regarding case developments and resolution strategy
