Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, supporting clinical staff, and ensuring smooth operations within our medical facility. This position is essential for maintaining a positive patient experience and assisting in various medical and administrative tasks.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking blood draws, ekgs, vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations.
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
- Support medical administrative functions, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery.
- Stay informed about medical terminology, procedures, and protocols relevant to the practice area.
- Engage with patients in geriatrics or medical-surgical settings as needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience or training as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with clinic medicine practices
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and service.
- Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation purposes.
- A compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing high-quality care to diverse patient populations.
- Experience using MDLand EMR is a plus
- Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese is required
- Cantonese and/or Fuzhounese language skills are a plus
