Title: Project Architect - Architectural & Interior Design Firm
Location: Los Angeles, CA (90015)
Salary: $100,000 - $130,000
Schedule: 9x80 Hybrid - Mondays & Fridays Remote. Tuesday - Thursday is On-Site. Every other Friday is off.
Founded in 1966, we are an award-winning architecture, interiors, and planning firm with offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Our practice spans custom residential estates, multifamily housing, hospitality, higher education, cultural, and mixed-use projects throughout California and beyond.
Our work is rooted in thoughtful design, environmental stewardship, collaboration, and creating places that inspire while standing the test of time.
Due to continued growth and several exciting new project wins, we are seeking experienced Project Architects to join our team in both Los Angeles and San Francisco. We are looking for leaders who can guide projects, mentor teams, collaborate closely with clients, and help deliver exceptional design across a variety of project types.
What You Will Be Doing

Lead projects through all phases from programming and conceptual design through construction administration

Direct and coordinate multidisciplinary consultant teams

Partner closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and firm leadership

Lead project meetings, presentations, and design reviews

Oversee project schedules, budgets, documentation quality, and deliverables

Guide and mentor Job Captains, Designers, and junior staff

Support design development while maintaining technical excellence and project execution

Ensure compliance with California Building Code, accessibility requirements, and project standards

Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and responsiveness
What You Need For This Position
-
Bachelor's in Architecture
-
6+ years of professional architectural experience
-
2+ years serving as a Project Architect with demonstrated project leadership responsibilities

Experience leading projects through the full project lifecycle from programming through construction administration

Fluent in Revit (Required)

Strong experience managing clients, consultants, and internal project teams

Excellent design, presentation, conceptual design, and design development skills

Demonstrated project management experience involving schedules, budgets, quality control, and project coordination

Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills

Strong mentoring and team leadership abilities

Working knowledge of California Building Code and ADA/Accessibility requirements

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and SketchUp and/or Rhino

Ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects
