About the Opportunity
A growing restoration company in the Austin market is looking for a Mitigation Estimator to join its team. This role is focused exclusively on water, fire, and mold mitigation estimating, with the opportunity to own projects from initial inspection through estimate completion while working alongside an experienced operations team.
While experience working with TPA programs is preferred, the company is actively diversifying its business and values candidates with strong estimating fundamentals regardless of where their work has originated. They're looking for a dependable, motivated restoration professional who takes pride in delivering accurate estimates, communicates well with customers and adjusters, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Own
- Perform property inspections for water, fire, and mold losses.
- Write accurate mitigation estimates using Xactimate.
- Develop scopes of work and communicate with homeowners, adjusters, and internal teams.
- Coordinate with production to ensure a smooth transition from estimate to project execution.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support emergency response needs.
- Assist with supplement writing and estimate revisions as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and provide excellent customer service throughout the claims process.
Ideal Background
- 2+ years of restoration estimating or project management experience.
- Strong mitigation estimating experience (water, fire, and/or mold).
- Proficiency with Xactimate.
- Experience working with insurance carriers and TPA programs is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Clean driving record and professional demeanor.
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
