Operations Manager – Manufacturing

Salary: $85,000-$100,000 per year, based on experience
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Operations Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations within a 40,000-square-foot facility.
This position is responsible for production performance, plant P&L, quality, safety, staffing, and continuous improvement. The Operations Manager will coordinate activities across production, the tool room, and maintenance while using the B&L Odyssey ERP system to manage workflows, costs, inventory, and schedules.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily manufacturing operations and production teams
- Manage production schedules, staffing, materials, and workflow
- Monitor plant P&L, labor costs, scrap, overtime, and operating expenses
- Improve productivity, cycle times, equipment uptime, and on-time delivery
- Maintain compliance with ISO 9001:2015 quality standards
- Partner with the Process Engineer and Maintenance Manager
- Track production, quality, downtime, and labor-performance metrics
- Address production delays, equipment problems, and quality concerns
- Lead corrective actions and continuous-improvement projects
- Coach employees and hold teams accountable for safety, quality, and performance
- Use Odyssey ERP to review work orders, inventory, labor, and production data
Qualifications
- Five or more years of manufacturing leadership experience
- Experience managing production teams and plant operations
- Knowledge of production planning, quality systems, and cost control
- Experience with plant budgets or P&L responsibilities
- Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015
- ERP-system experience; B&L Odyssey experience is preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent manufacturing experience will be considered
