American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) position in Oklahoma City, requiring at least one year of CVICU experience and a willingness to float to related pediatric units.

Position is based in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (Cardio PICU) within a hospital setting
-
Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)

Must be willing to float to PICU, NICU, and CV Stepdown units
-
Weekend commitment of 4 weekend days (Saturday and Sunday) within every 4-week scheduling block

13-week contract

Active RN license (OK state or eNLC compact license) currently in hand

Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required

Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required

CVICU experience required

Level 1 trauma experience required

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred

Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Provides nursing care to pediatric cardiovascular patients with conditions ranging from simple to complex

Responsibilities include patient assessment, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, documenting care, and collaborating with physicians and support staff

Engages with patients and families regarding care plans and hospital procedures

Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after 26 cumulative weeks before being eligible for a new contract

Compliance onboarding (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must be completed on a firm deadline — start dates will not be adjusted for non-compliance
