Director of Nursing (DON)

Avir at Camp Wood is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our exceptional healthcare team at our Camp Wood, Texas, location. Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring that all patient care services are delivered in accordance with our organization's mission and values
Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures that align with regulatory standards and industry best practices
Lead and manage a team of professional nurses and support staff, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure exceptional patient outcomes
Collaborate with other departments, including medical staff, radiology, and environmental services, to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including Joint Commission, CMS, and Texas Department of State Health Services standards
Participate in budget planning and management, ensuring that departmental expenses are managed effectively and efficiently
Foster a culture of inclusivity, respect, and open communication among staff, patients, and families
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP preferred)
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting
Current Texas RN license and CPR certification
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong analytical and budgeting skills
