American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position in Michigan, requiring a minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience and an active MI RN license.

Hospital Med/Surg unit environment serving a general medical patient population with specialty cases including ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, GI, urology, hysterectomy, and mastectomy surgical patients

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
-
36 or 48-hour work weeks available

Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6 on nights; ratios may flex to 1:7–8 with LPN support paired to the RN

Float to other Med/Surg units required, typically once per week

Every other weekend required

Works alongside a mixed staff team including RNs, LPNs, and Techs

Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
-
BLS certification (AHA) required; pending certification accepted if candidate confirms willingness to obtain

Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience required; 2 years preferred

Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a local pay rate
-
Orientation is required during the first 2 weeks of the assignment and candidate must be available for all scheduled orientation shifts

Unit placement may vary based on need across multiple Med/Surg units within the facility
