As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the health and happiness of our patients while supporting our veterinarians and veterinary technicians. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Assisting veterinarians during examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
- Preparing and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment using aseptic techniques.
- Safely and effectively restraining animals during examinations or procedures.
- Monitoring the health and behavior of animals in our care, reporting any changes to the veterinary team.
- Administering medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Providing basic grooming services such as nail trimming and ear cleaning.
- Maintaining accurate medical records using veterinary terminology.
- Educating pet owners on animal care, husbandry practices, and post-operative instructions.
- Performing routine cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and clean facility.
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of experience, skills, and a genuine love for animals. Here’s what we’re seeking:

Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a veterinary assistant or in a professional animal care setting.
- Skills: Knowledge of veterinary critical care, animal physiology, dental terminology, and intravenous catheterization. Familiarity with veterinary terminology is essential.
- Personal Qualities: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well as part of a team. A passion for animal welfare and a desire to grow within the veterinary field are a must.
