Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling signs and sign components using various welding techniques, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will help us produce durable, high-quality products that meet project specifications and industry standards.
Duties
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and welding to join metal parts accurately and efficiently
- Read and interpret plans, schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to guide fabrication processes
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe threading equipment to prepare materials for welding and assembly
- Maintain safety compliance by adhering to power tool safety protocols and site-specific safety regulations during all operations
- Assist in maintenance tasks, assembly of components, and troubleshooting mechanical issues on manufacturing floors
Requirements
- Proven experience in welding techniques including MIG, FCAW, TIG, and welding with a strong understanding of welding codes such as ASME standards
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings with precision
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, calipers, pipe threading equipment, and tube bending tools
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to welding, power tools, and NFPA standards for fire safety compliance
- Manufacturing background preferred; familiarity with maintenance tasks is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with excellent interpretive skills for technical documents
