Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls promptly with professional phone etiquette, providing clear and courteous assistance to patients seeking appointment scheduling or rescheduling.
- Verify patient information accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks to ensure correct appointment details.
- Schedule, confirm, and modify appointments for various medical specialties, adhering to clinic protocols and care plans.
- Collect and review relevant patient documentation, including insurance details and medical records, maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies.
- Collaborate with medical staff and administrative teams to coordinate appointment logistics efficiently.
- Maintain detailed logs of all interactions, update electronic health records accurately, and follow up on pending appointments as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in call center environments or customer service roles, preferably within healthcare support or medical appointment setting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and computer skills for efficient data management and communication
- Multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse patient base effectively
- Excellent phone call management skills with a focus on professionalism, active listening, and problem-solving
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations such as HIPAA
- Strong analysis skills for assessing patient needs quickly and providing appropriate solutions or guidance
