About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Cardiac Cath Lab to lead clinical operations within a high-performing acute-care hospital. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing patient care, staff performance, daily operations, regulatory compliance, and quality initiatives within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
The ideal candidate has strong nursing leadership experience, a background in Cath Lab, Interventional Cardiology, or Cardiovascular Services, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care while leading multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise Cath Lab nursing staff and support team members.
- Oversee daily clinical and operational activities within the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
- Ensure safe, high-quality patient care and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, productivity, and resource allocation.
- Support employee coaching, mentoring, performance evaluations, and professional development.
- Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Monitor quality metrics, patient safety initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.
- Assist with departmental budgeting, payroll, inventory, and operational planning.
- Promote a collaborative, patient-centered culture focused on clinical excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum 3 years of direct patient care experience.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical healthcare or healthcare operations experience.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing leadership or supervisory experience.
- Experience working in an acute-care hospital environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab).
- Experience in Interventional Cardiology or Cardiovascular Services.
- Strong knowledge of patient safety, quality improvement, staffing, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team development skills.
