Cut-List Specialist
Closets by Design is a nationally recognized leader in home organizing systems. We design, manufacture, and install a complete line of custom closets, home office furniture, media systems, wall beds, garage cabinetry, and more.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to fill the position of Cut-list Specialist immediately.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
· Responsible for assembling an accurate cut list that identifies all parts and machining requirements for the components required by Design to build out closet.
· Complete the cut-list package and submit it in a time frame consistent with company standards and efficiency requirements.
· Support the Pricing, Production, and Installation Departments as required.
· Making sure all designs comply with the company's product offerings, installation requirements, and limitations.
· Designs must be reviewed for plausibility, completeness of paperwork, and design theory to ensure a clean handoff to other departments.
· Microsoft Office experience to maintain database/tracking systems, Optimization programs for waste managing Outlook Email to keep up with the schedule and communication.
· Knowledgeable in working with CRM to track customer information and data entry purposes.
· The role requires light CAD(Computer Aided Drafting) work to amend layouts and create parts for CNC operations
· Some heavy machinery usage is required when implementing newly designed processes and parts.
· Experience working with 32mm European Cabinet systems is strongly desired.
· Online Ordering for purchases and an established Purchase Ordering system is a daily occurrence.
· Must maintain relationships with vendors and navigate those relationships successfully to help provide our customers with the best product at the lowest cost.
Essential Job Functions:
- Quality – Develop and implement a personal quality process with every job or project to ensure that all items required by the sales package design have been included in the cut list. Sp
- Productivity – The Cut-list Job Processor is expected to produce high volume in daily jobs after three months of training. After that, the Cut-list Job Processor is expected to continually seek improvement methods for daily output.
- Continuous Improvement – The Cut-list Job Processor is expected to have a positive and proactive attitude toward meeting and surpassing customer expectations. The Cut-list Department's dutiy is to aid the Manufacturing Department, the Installation Department, and the End-User Customer.
- Attendance – The Cut-list Job Processor must arrive on time and minimize time away from their workstation.
Minimum Preferred Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
· Define and work efficiently to resolve design questions for all departments.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be proactive, and take initiative to complete tasks.
· Strong interpersonal skills are required to review issues and work together to solve them.
· Naturally systematic, detail-oriented individuals inclined to build on well-established processes.
· Strong computer skills are required to Itemize, communicate, optimize, and strategize.
· Comply with all company policies and standards of behavior and performance.
