We are seeking Joint Training Requirements Specialists to support the National Guard Bureau NGB-J37 Joint Training and Readiness Analysis mission.
Selected candidates will provide direct joint training support to Joint Force Headquarters across assigned states and territories. Responsibilities include Joint Training Plan development, exercise support, workshops, assessments, training delivery, and Observer, Controller, Trainer support.
Candidates will be assigned to a regional coverage area based on their location, experience, and contract requirements.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
- Apply all four phases of the Joint Training System: requirements, planning, execution, and assessment
- Assist JFHQ-State organizations with integrating the Joint Training System into training, exercise, and planning processes
- Develop, review, and update Joint Training Plans
- Review plans for doctrinal correctness in accordance with CJCSI and CJCSM 3500 series guidance
- Consolidate inputs and prepare Joint Training Plans for commander or director review
- Enter milestones and upload completed plans into the applicable Joint Training Database of Record
- Provide Joint Event Life Cycle support for planning, executing, and evaluating joint training events
- Serve as an Observer, Controller, Trainer during exercises and training events
- Conduct JFHQ-State support visits, workshops, assessments, and advisory engagements
- Deliver training on DRRS, JTIMS, JLLIS, and related joint training systems
- Plan and facilitate regional joint training workshops
- Support Joint and Agency Mission Essential Task List development and selection
- Apply knowledge of Mission Training Assessments and Training Proficiency Assessments
- Document training observations and lessons learned
- Prepare trip reports, executive summaries, briefings, and other required documentation
- Maintain contact rosters, event calendars, milestones, and performance metrics
- Support users accessing joint training systems through SIPRNet and other classified environments
Required Qualifications
- Active SECRET security clearance
- Minimum of four years of joint training or closely related experience
- Demonstrated experience with all four phases of the Joint Training System
- Experience developing or reviewing Joint Training Plans
- Experience with the Joint Event Life Cycle
- Familiarity with CJCSI and CJCSM 3500 series guidance
- Experience using or instructing one or more of the following:
- Defense Readiness Reporting System
- Joint Training Information Management System
- Joint Lessons Learned Information System
- Experience instructing workshops or training sessions
- Knowledge of Mission Training Assessments and Training Proficiency Assessments
- Experience with Joint or Agency Mission Essential Task List development
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to access and work within classified systems and SIPRNet
- Ability to travel approximately 25 to 40% within CONUS
- Ability to support customers across multiple U.S. time zones
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting the National Guard Bureau or a JFHQ-State organization
- Experience supporting National Guard training requirements across multiple states or territories
- Experience with Vigilant Guard or similar National Guard exercises
- Prior experience as an Observer, Controller, Trainer
- Knowledge of domestic operations and Defense Support to Civil Authorities
- Experience supporting NORAD, USNORTHCOM, or another joint headquarters
- Experience with Master Scenario Events Lists, After Action Reports, and lessons learned
- OPSEC Level I or Level II certification
- Security+ or another applicable DoD cybersecurity certification
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Command and General Staff College or equivalent military education
Work Location and Travel
This position is remote within the continental United States under a government-approved telework arrangement.
Candidates may be assigned to the Northeast, Southeast, Central, Mountain, or Pacific region. Travel is required to JFHQ-State locations, exercises, planning conferences, workshops, and other supported events.
Travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with the Joint Travel Regulations.
Pay: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
