Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety protocols, proper food handling, and culinary techniques to maintain high standards.
- Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies, managing stock levels, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices.
- Utilize POS and reservation systems SpotOn and Tock for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation with accuracy.
- Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to meet customer demand during peak hours while controlling labor costs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and sanitation procedures.
- Lead efforts in staff training and development to foster a motivated team dedicated to excellent customer service and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
- Strong background in restaurant management with supervisory experience in hospitality or food service industries.
- Familiarity with POS, ordering, and scheduling
- Experience in inventory control, food safety practices, and food production processes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a history of staff training, team management, and interviewing potential team members.
- Knowledge of budgeting, food cost control, and overall food service management principles.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a passion for hospitality excellence; prior fine dining or casual dining experience is a plus.
