Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring clear communication with the kitchen and bar staff
- Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Clear tables efficiently, bus tables as needed, and assist with resetting for new guests
- Handle food handling responsibilities safely, adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation or plating when necessary, especially during busy periods
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions, accommodating special requests, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness in dining areas, including bussing, wiping down tables, and organizing service stations
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong understanding of food handling procedures
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing
- Experience with banquet service, catering events, or large parties is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to multitask efficiently during high-volume service times while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong customer service orientation with a positive attitude and energetic approach to hospitality
- Previous kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not required; eagerness to learn is essential
- Hospitality background in hotels or fine dining establishments is beneficial but not mandatory
