Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bar Prep team member to work closely with our Beverage Director in supporting all bar juicing, prep, and batching needs across our restaurant group. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with kitchen prep or bar-backing experience who is interested in learning more about beverage programs and growing within hospitality.
This role is hands-on and physical, ideal for someone who enjoys prep work, organization, and being part of a collaborative team behind the scenes.
Responsibilities
- Assist with juicing, batching, and ingredient preparation
- Accurately follow beverage recipes and production guidelines as outlined by the HMH Beverage Director
- Measure and handle ingredients using standard units of measurement
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards in prep areas
- Communicate clearly with the Beverage Director and bar teams
- Assist with ordering, receiving, organizing, and moving product as needed
- Perform monthly inventory counts
Requirements
- Previous experience in kitchen prep, bar-backing, or similar role preferred
- Strong interest in beverages, cocktails, and bar programs
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for 8+ hours
- Comfortable following recipes and working with precise measurements
- Reliable transportation is required
- Clear and efficient communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
