Certified Pharmacy Technician – Inventory Specialist & Prescription Filler (Full-Time)
We are seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician – Inventory Specialist & Prescription Filler to join our pharmacy team. This position is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented technician who enjoys managing pharmacy inventory while supporting prescription fulfillment in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory levels, ensuring medication availability, and assisting pharmacists with efficient prescription processing and dispensing.

- Monday–Friday
- 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- No weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately fill, label, and prepare prescriptions for pharmacist verification.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory by receiving, stocking, rotating, and organizing medications and supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low-stock, backordered, or expired medications.
- Place medication orders and receive deliveries from wholesalers and vendors.
- Perform routine cycle counts, inventory audits, and expiration date checks.
- Process medication returns, recalls, and outdated inventory in accordance with pharmacy policies.
- Assist with insurance claim processing and resolve claim rejections as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with pharmacy safety standards.
- Provide courteous, professional customer service and assist patients with prescription-related questions.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration/licensure as required by the Ohio Board of Pharmacy and current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification.
- Minimum of two (2) years of retail or independent pharmacy experience.
- Experience with prescription filling and medication dispensing.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy inventory management and medication storage practices.
- Experience using electronic pharmacy management systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with the following is a plus:
- Pharmacy purchasing and wholesaler ordering
- Inventory control, cycle counts, and medication recalls
- Over-the-counter (OTC) products
- Durable Medical Equipment (DME)
- JOBST® compression garments
