JOB
DEFINITION:
To provide classroom and lab instruction for the Machining Career Accelerator within the Economic & Workforce Development Division. This intensive 5-week training program, developed in partnership with an industry employer, prepares participants for high-demand careers in precision machining.

Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Essential Functions:

Plan, direct, and deliver classroom and lab instruction for the Machining Career Accelerator; develop supplemental materials and assessments; maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.

Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and instructional priorities for the program.

Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of instructional methods and procedures; recommend and implement improvements.

Develop instructional materials and coordinate course delivery in alignment with industry standards and employer expectations.
Other Important Functions:

Assess material, supply, and equipment needs; submit requisitions and maintain an inventory of tools and resources.

Support student recruitment and retention efforts; contribute to program marketing and community engagement.

Collaborate with employer partners and college staff to ensure program outcomes align with workforce needs.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and safe work practices in lab and classroom environments.

Participate in employer feedback sessions and advisory committee meetings as requested.

Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Candidates are required to submit OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS for all degrees obtained prior to their first day of work or hire date. If the highest level of education is a High School diploma or equivalent, proof of completion is required.

Candidates who have obtained their education outside of the US and its territories must have their academic degree(s) validated, at their own expense, by an outside credential evaluation service as equivalent to the Baccalaureate or Master's degree conferred by a regionally accredited college or university in the United States.
