Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Residential Painter to join our team for ongoing work at Fort Polk Military Base. This role involves painting recently vacated homes to prepare them for new occupants. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of working independently while maintaining high-quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for painting (cleaning, sanding, patching, caulking, etc.)
- Apply paint, primer, and coatings to interior (and occasional exterior) surfaces
- Ensure clean lines, smooth finishes, and consistent coverage
- Protect floors, fixtures, and surrounding areas during work
- Complete jobs efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Clean up work areas after each job
Requirements:
- Proven experience in residential painting (required)
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Reliable transportation to and from Office, we provide transportation to post.
- Ability to pass any required base access/background requirements
- Basic knowledge of painting tools and techniques
