Fleet Mechanic (Full-Time)
Stone Insulation Service is seeking a mechanic to oversee and optimize our fleet of primarily diesel vehicles and warehouse operations across multiple locations. This role is essential to keeping our teams moving and our projects running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, manage, and oversee 20+ company vehicles
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies for fleet operations
- Perform and coordinate truck maintenance; run diagnostics, ensure overall health, cleanliness, and maintenance of the fleet
- Perform inspections, troubleshoot, and repair company heavy machinery (insulation equipment)
- Effectively communicate needs and expectations to management in order to execute job requirements effectively
- Ensure compliance regarding vehicle and machine safety and proper usage amongst staff
Requirements:
- Background in automotive maintenance with an emphasis on diesel and commercial vehicles
- Knowledge of diesel engines and DPF regen procedures
- Mechanical knowledge with strong ability to troubleshoot and repair
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across different sites
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving
- Possess adequate tooling to perform repairs and maintenance safely and effectively
