Who we are:
Coastal Mechanics Tool and Machine is a manufacturer of high-precision Aviation and Military custom components. We are currently seeking a Driver/QC Assistant who is willing and ready to be a hard-working team player in a rapidly growing company.
The person we are looking for:
Candidate must be able read, write, and speak English. Bilingual is a plus but not required. Candidate must have a clean driving record and background. Candidate must have a reliable transportation, be able to lift minimum 50 lbs and be able to pass vision test for QC operations. Able to drive forklift, interpret part drawings and read inspection tools (Calipers, Micrometers, etc.) is a plus.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Delivery Driver, 35% of the time
- QC Assistant, 35% of the time(company will train)
- Shipping and receiving, 10% of the time
- Forklift operations, 5% of the time
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent in driving a forklift
- Excellent ability to pay attention to details
- Ability to ready and interpret manufacturing drawings is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment
- Knowledge of best safety practices in a manufacturing environment
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 2 years Driver experience for a manufacturing company.
- Minimum 2 years forklift driving
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods walking or standing.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
