Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automation Maintenance Technician to support and maintain automated production equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities and experience working with robotics and PLC systems (Allen-Bradley).
The ideal candidate will be able to diagnose and repair complex equipment issues, read technical schematics, and ensure minimal downtime across operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automated equipment, including robotic systems and PLC-controlled machinery
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control system issues quickly and effectively
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Work with Allen-Bradley PLCs for basic troubleshooting, fault finding, and modifications
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and efficiency
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment and automation systems
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
Qualifications
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience required
- Hands-on experience with robotics and/or PLC systems ( preferred)
- Strong ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
- Proficient in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
Solid understanding of:
- Motors, drives, sensors, and control systems
- Pneumatics and hydraulics
- Industrial electrical systems (AC/DC)
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field
- Experience with robotic systems (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, etc.)
- PLC advanced troubleshooting experience
- Experience in manufacturing or automated production environments
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to [50] lbs
- Comfortable working in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures
