Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Installer for Window Treatments to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately measuring, installing, and troubleshooting a variety of window treatment products such as blinds, shades, shutters, and draperies. Your expertise will ensure that each installation is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards, enhancing the aesthetic and functional appeal of our clients’ spaces. Duties
- Measure windows precisely to determine the correct size and placement of window treatments using blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
- Install a wide range of window treatments including blinds, shades, shutters, and custom fabrications using hand tools and power tools.
- Ensure all installations adhere to safety standards and building codes by conducting thorough construction inspections.
- Use construction management techniques to coordinate with project teams and ensure timely completion of installations.
- Troubleshoot installation issues on-site by adjusting or modifying treatments for optimal fit and operation.
- Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling tools, materials, and debris during and after projects.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain product features, answer questions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
- Extensive experience with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and fixture installation.
- Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and inspection procedures.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam software for digital markup and project documentation.
- Strong background in various construction disciplines such as carpentry (frame carpentry, trim carpentry), masonry (concrete finishing), roofing, drywall (plastering), flooring installation (tile laying), and restoration work.
- Ability to read technical schematics related to electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC components relevant to window treatment integration when necessary.
- Experience in fabrication processes including glass installation, cabinetry setup, caulking, stucco application, welding, and remodeling projects.
- Skills in using construction management tools to coordinate project timelines effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly on-site when unforeseen challenges arise.
