We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Technician with strong electrical troubleshooting skills to support the operation of our manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for maintaining production equipment, diagnosing equipment failures, performing repairs, and helping ensure safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate enjoys solving technical problems, works well in a team environment, and is committed to minimizing equipment downtime.
Primary Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment, production machinery, and facility systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and automation issues using technical documentation, schematics, and diagnostic equipment.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and industrial electrical systems.
- Complete repairs involving motors, drives, sensors, electrical components, mechanical assemblies, and related production equipment.
- Utilize testing equipment including multimeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other electrical diagnostic tools.
- Perform welding and fabrication as needed to support equipment repairs and modifications.
- Assist with maintenance of HVAC and facility support equipment when required.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and work orders using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Work closely with production personnel to quickly resolve equipment issues while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Recommend equipment improvements that increase reliability, productivity, and maintainability.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist in training less experienced maintenance personnel on safe work practices and equipment maintenance procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Industrial Electrician, or Industrial Mechanic within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, controls, and equipment troubleshooting.
- Experience working with PLCs, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Experience using CMMS software to document maintenance activities.
- Welding experience (MIG, TIG, or Stick) preferred.
- Familiarity with HVAC equipment, low-voltage systems, and industrial automation is beneficial.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective repairs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams.
- Military maintenance or technical experience is welcomed and highly valued.
