About the student

- The student needs to work with a tutor to prepare for her ASVAB test for both the math and ELA sections.
- The student needs significant support preparing for the ASVAB. She is seeking individualized tutoring to strengthen her understanding of the material, address areas of weakness, and build the skills and confidence necessary to perform well on the exam.
- The tutor should provide instruction and practice across the relevant ASVAB sections, including mathematics, word knowledge, paragraph comprehension, arithmetic reasoning, and other areas as needed. Sessions should incorporate ASVAB-style practice questions, review of missed problems, test-taking strategies, and timed practice to help the student become comfortable with the format and pacing of the exam.
- The student's goal is to significantly improve her ASVAB performance and feel fully prepared for the exam.
- The student is asking for 1 hour sessions 5 times a week during her available times. She is available Mon-Fri from 12pm-10pm and Sat & Sun from 7am-10pm.
- The student is seeking a tutor who can meet at her home in Farmington off of Maple Street not far from the corner of Maple Street and North A Street.
Qualifications
- Ideal candidates have prior experience working with adults.
- Ideal candidates will have prior experience tutoring or teaching test prep.
- Ideal candidates will have prior experience with the ASVAB test. Ideal candidates will be able to help the student prepare for the math and ELA portions of the test.
- Willing to travel within your preferred local radius to meet the student (typically 5-10 miles)
- Due to insurance requirements, applicants must not be a minor.
Student Availability
MON -FRI: 12:00pm-10:00pm
SAT-SUN: 7:00am-10:00pm
Pay & Benefits
- $25.00-$30.00 per hour
