Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product recommendations.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor by stocking shelves and arranging merchandise.
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers about features and benefits.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
- Upsell products to enhance the customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with grocery store operations is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts are essential.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to supervise junior staff or assist in training new associates is advantageous.
