Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide expert advice on lawn care, gardening, floral arrangements, and landscape maintenance products.
- Assist customers in selecting merchandise that meets their needs, demonstrating excellent product knowledge in horticulture, floral design, and outdoor tools.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions including cash handling, credit card processing, and retail math calculations.
- Stock shelves accurately and organize displays to create an appealing shopping environment while managing inventory levels through merchandising.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, storage areas, and outdoor sections to ensure safety and accessibility.
- Support e-commerce initiatives by helping customers place online orders or pick up items in-store when applicable.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations and exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Prior experience or strong interest in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is preferred.
- Knowledge of floral design techniques is a plus for assisting with seasonal displays or special orders.
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a bonus for serving diverse customer bases.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage stocking, merchandising, and inventory tasks efficiently.
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, cash handling, and retail math to ensure accurate transactions.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to listen actively and provide tailored solutions.
- Ability to work flexible hours in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
