Duties
- Prepare pasta dough by measuring ingredients accurately and following precise recipes.
- Operate specialized pasta-making equipment, ensuring consistent product quality.
- Shape and cut pasta into various forms using manual or mechanical tools.
- Maintain strict adherence to FDA regulations, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards to ensure food safety.
- Monitor sanitation procedures, ensuring the cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and utensils in compliance with food industry standards.
- Assist in packaging finished pasta products efficiently while maintaining quality control.
- Perform routine mechanical checks on equipment and report any malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime.
Skills
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP, CGMP, and food safety practices within a food processing plant environment.
- Strong understanding of food production processes and manufacturing standards in the food industry.
- Mechanical knowledge related to operating and maintaining pasta-making machinery.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for ingredient measurements and portioning.
- Familiarity with sanitation procedures and food processing plant safety protocols.
- Basic forklift operation skills preferred for handling raw materials and finished products safely.
