We are a fast-paced pediatric dental office looking for a stellar part time potentially leading into a full time Pediatric Registered Dental Assistant or Dental Assistant who enjoys working with kids and is a quick learner. Candidate should be motivated, able to multitask and well-organized with great attention to detail. Reliability and promptness is an absolute must. Assistant should be friendly, compassionate and able to work well with others, including children and fellow team members. Looking for experienced candidates with RDA license or RDA eligibility or experienced Dental Assistants with x-ray license and coronal polishing license. Pay will be negotiable for the right candidate along with potential for growth, ultimately could lead to a lead assistant position, working closely with the owner doctor.

Responsibilities
- Welcome patients in the dental office
- Prepare patients for treatments or checkups
- Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry
- Undertake lab tasks as instructed
- Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Coronal Polish
- Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked
- Schedule appointments
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Charting for doctor and hygienists efficiently and accurately
- Taking radiographs
Skills
- Experience as a dental assistant required
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks
- Efficient and concise
- Reliable and well organized
- Good computer skills; knowledge of Eaglesoft a plus
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail
- High school diploma, graduation from dental assisting school
- Dental X-ray license required
- Coronal Polishing license required
