Job Overview
The Boutique Associate plays a dual role in creating an exceptional shopping experience while providing meaningful support to individuals with disabilities. This position assists with the daily operations of the resale boutique and works alongside participants to help them develop vocational, social, and life skills through hands-on retail experiences. Responsibilities
Retail Operations
· Welcome and assist customers in a friendly, professional, and inclusive manner.
· Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and accurately process customer transactions.
· Receive, inspect, sort, price, and display donated or consigned merchandise.
· Stock and organize sales floor displays to maintain an attractive shopping environment.
· Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the boutique, including fitting rooms, checkout area, and storage spaces.
· Assist with inventory, merchandising, and seasonal displays.
· Support opening and closing procedures.
Direct Support Responsibilities
· Provide individualized support to adults with disabilities while they participate in boutique operations.
· Encourage independence by teaching and reinforcing vocational, social, and customer service skills.
· Model appropriate workplace behaviors, communication, and professionalism.
· Assist participants with assigned tasks while promoting choice, confidence, and self-advocacy.
· Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for participants, customers, volunteers, and staff.
· Observe participants' progress and communicate successes, concerns, and needs with supervisors.
· Follow all organizational policies regarding participant safety, confidentiality, and documentation.
· Other duties as assigned.
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in a boutique or specialty store setting
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in guiding team members or managing daily operations
- Ability to handle stock replenishment tasks efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized sales floor.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
