Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in commercial and residential settings.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by ensuring they are stocked with necessary supplies.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, waxing, and stripping as needed to keep surfaces in optimal condition.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks to ensure the overall upkeep of the property.
- Handle industrial cleaning duties when required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment is a plus.
- Ability to perform basic facilities maintenance tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as necessary.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
