Effex is looking for experienced Surface Mount Technicians (SMT) for a leading electronics manufacturing client.
As a Surface Mount Technician, you'll maintain, troubleshoot, and repair SMT production equipment to help keep manufacturing running efficiently while meeting quality and safety standards.
Shift Details:
Full-Time
2nd Shift – 2 Openings Available
3rd Shift – 2 Openings Available
Pay: $17.00–$25.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Additional Pay:
- $1.00/hour Attendance Bonus
- 2nd Shift Differential: +$0.75/hour
- 3rd Shift Differential: +$1.50/hour

Essential Job Duties:
- Perform preventative maintenance on SMT equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues during production.
- Calibrate SMT machines and equipment.
- Repair and maintain feeders and production equipment.
- Program and update machine settings for production runs.
- Complete equipment changeovers and routine maintenance.
- Track maintenance activities and machine downtime.
- Follow all safety procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of electronics or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience with SMT or PCB manufacturing equipment.
- Technical, mechanical, or electronics training preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work overtime when needed.
Work Environment:
- Climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Working around automated production equipment.
