Our most recent achievements include the development of the new HPLC retention mode Bridge Ion Separation Technology (or BIST) and the launch of our Alltesta Anlayzer, a cloud-controlled mini chromatographic analyzer.
SIELC Technologies has an open position for a skilled System Administrator to manage our network and PC infrastructure, ensuring its optimal performance, security, and reliability. It is a part time job with mostly remote activity but occasional presence on site will be required.
As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing our hardware, and networks. Your goal is to ensure our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently, allowing the company to achieve its business objectives without interruptions.
- Maintain, and upgrade servers, networks, and IT systems to ensure maximum availability and reliability.
- Implement security policies, firewalls, and other measures to safeguard company data and prevent unauthorized access.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues promptly; coordinate with vendors and support teams as needed.
- Provide technical support and guidance to internal users for system issues, software installations, and configurations.
- Manage, and test backup and recovery structure to protect against data loss.
- Update documentation of system configurations, procedures, and network topologies.
- Identify opportunities to automate processes and optimize system performance.
- Proficiency with Linux, Windows, and/or MacOS environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) will be a plus
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.
- Scripting abilities (Bash, Python, or PowerShell) is a plus.
- Some experience with VoIP PBX system is a plus
- BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field will be a plus.
- 3+ years as a System Administrator or similar role.
Compensation is based on your experience and actual time spent.
