American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with experience across NICU, PICU, Adult ICU, and general pediatric and adult units for a 4-week night shift contract at an academic teaching hospital in Burlington, VT.

Inpatient respiratory therapy position at an academic teaching hospital

Patient population spans NICU, PICU, Adult ICU, and adult and pediatric general units
-
12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week

Monday through Sunday scheduling with no block schedules
-
Weekend work required as needed
-
No on-call or charge responsibilities
-
No floating required
-
Epic EMR used; recent experience is required
-
RRT credential required; CRT will not be accepted

Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
-
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required

Experience across NICU, PICU, Adult ICU, and adult and pediatric general units required

Teaching hospital experience required

Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required

Two professional references required from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor — at least one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment

License required if applicable

A personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in this area

Prior travel experience is preferred but not required — first-time travelers will be considered

All specialties worked must be thoroughly documented within each individual employment entry in work history

All work history must include facility bed count, EMR, and facility type
-
Employment gaps of more than 90 days must be explained
-
Local candidates are accepted; pay rates are tiered based on distance from the facility — travel (101+ miles), radius (51–100 miles), and local (50 miles or less)

SSN and DOB are required for consideration
