Duties / Responsibilities
- Set up and operation of the Laser cutting machine
- Adheres to safety and quality standards
- Read and comply with customer and/or FMS drawings
- Work with supervisors, schedulers and engineering to ensure best utilization of sheet usage
- Mechanical understanding of machine
- Computer skills
- Ability to read and interpret measuring tools such as a tape measure and dial calipers
- Maintain and follow assigned job schedules
- Expedite orders as directed
Requirements
- Ability to safely operate a fork truck
- Ability to understand and identify types of materials and their locations
- Perform related preventive maintenance on equipment when appropriate
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds or more
Experience
- Minimum one year laser operation required
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing, AS9100, ISO, FDA, GMP preferred
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent required
