Housekeeping
Beachside Rehab, an innovative private mental health and substance abuse treatment facility is looking to hire a full-time housekeeper.
Job Duties:
- Damp wipe with a germicidal solution: chairs, tops of bedside cabinets, lamps, windowsills, etc.
- Clean all horizontal surfaces daily with a disinfectant to remove dust, dirt, and greasy film.
- Utilize commercial laundry equipment, folds laundry and irons linens as needed
- Empty and wash ashtrays, empty and clean wastebaskets, reline wastebaskets with plastic liners.
- Empty and disinfect garbage cans, reline with plastic liners.
- Clean tubs, shower stalls, tub room floors and fixtures daily.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms. Clean sink of soap and other articles.
- Clean and hose down entrance mats when needed.
- Clean offices, treatment rooms, patient rooms, lounges, and waiting areas as assigned.
- Wash windows, sills, doors, and damp clean air vents in bathrooms on a regular basis.
- Keep cleaning equipment in good working order, replacing damaged equipment when necessary and keeping all equipment clean and tidy.
- Maintain housekeeping closets at all times.
- Transport soiled linen to proper storage area.
- Disinfects all soiled linen containers, reline with plastic liners.
- Assists in the storing of clean liners.
- Maintains clean and sanitary condition in immediate work area.
- Reports to work as assigned.
- Completes daily tasks as assigned
- Maintains acceptable overall attendance.
- Promotes a favorable/positive work atmosphere.
- Attends in-services and educational training as necessary and as assigned.
- Seeks out learning experiences and incorporates new knowledge into practice.
- Maintains flexibility and adaptability to expected and unexpected changes in the work environment.
- Utilizes hand-washing techniques and universal precaution at all times
- Pleasant, tactful, and courteous to patients, visitors and other employees and contractors.
- Physically and mentally healthy to perform job duties.
- Conforms to dress code as established by the Chief Executive Officer and appropriate to work place setting.
- Reports incidents, accidents, and occurrences in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Maintains safety of the physical environment.
- Performs all other tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements:
You are attentive to detail and organized, focused on being a customer-service oriented team member.
Previous housekeeping experience is required.
Medical facility experience is preferred.
Having a positive, compassionate and customer-service oriented attitude.
