Lead Installer / Assistant Installation Manager
AZ Custom Designs is seeking an experienced Lead Installer / Assistant Installation Manager to join our growing team specializing in high-end residential window coverings. This is more than an installation position—it's a leadership opportunity for someone who wants to help manage our installation department, support our crews, improve processes, and grow with our company.
Working directly alongside our Installation Manager, you'll help oversee daily operations while continuing to install some of Arizona's finest custom window covering projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Installation Manager with the day-to-day operations of the installation department.
- Serve as the second-in-command and help oversee daily field operations.
- Lead and support installation crews on high-end residential projects.
- Install interior and exterior window coverings, including:
- Motorized shades
- Manual shades
- Drapery and drapery hardware
- Exterior shading systems
- Help coordinate schedules, daily logistics, and job readiness.
- Maintain and update project communication using Asana and company processes.
- Train, mentor, and develop installers while promoting consistent installation standards.
- Troubleshoot installation challenges and motorized shade systems.
- Perform quality checks and ensure projects are completed to AZ Custom Designs standards.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, designers, builders, project managers, and office staff.
- Help improve installation processes and contribute to the continued growth of the department.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional installation experience (window coverings preferred).
- Previous leadership or crew lead experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and project management software.
- Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions and lead by example.
- Professional appearance with exceptional customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must provide your own basic hand tools.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
