Job Duties:

The QA Reviewer performs the duties required to ensure program quality and compliance through the case review process. Reviews QA/CQI regional activities to ensure compliance and effectiveness within DSS as part of overall Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).

Serves as reviewer, either solo or with a partner, to conduct quality assurance reviews of SC Department of Social Services’ foster care and family preservation cases. Reviews case files and electronic databases to rate items using the standard instrument; follows established protocols; interviews DSS staff and other stakeholders, as necessary, to gather additional information to support item ratings; documents findings on the instrument or other online platforms; and completes all documents related to the reviewed case. Utilizes online resources, briefs, and FAQs to complete and validate the instrument.

Serves as a reviewer in conducting monitoring reviews for the Michelle H Lawsuit and other strategic agency reviews. Reviews case files and electronic databases to answer questions using the on-line surveys. Follows established protocols and agency policy to gather additional information to support item ratings. Utilizes reviewer guide for each review to complete and validate the instrument.

Participates in special projects as requested.

Ensures that PII is used, assessed, gathered and disposed in compliance with agency policy and procedures. Protects agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.
A Bachelor's Degree and four (4) years of professional experience in social services programs, correctional, education, business administration, general administrative management, or relevant program experience.
A Master's Degree and two (2) years of professional experience in social services programs, correctional, education, business administration, general administrative management, or relevant program experience.
