Job Description
The director of the family justice center must oversee the center’s daily operations. A family justice center is a co-location of agencies who provide free and confidential services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, and human trafficking.
The position will follow the best practice model identified on the Family Justice Center Alliance (familyjusticecenter.org).
The director will be responsible for fulfilling the obligations of the activities/reporting of the VOCA grant monthly and quarterly, also including but not limited to:
Essential Duties
● Ensure MOUs are up to date quarterly or when positions change;
● Obtaining technical assistance from the OCJP designated statewide technical assistance provider while VOCA grant is active;
● Conduct community assessments on domestic violence, sexual assault, and available support services;
● Coordinating and conducting planning meetings with relevant partners and local agencies quarterly;
● Strengthening existing collaborative partnerships;
● Participating in community meetings, webinars and/or facilitating community on the concept and benefits of Family Justice Center;
● Participating in community meetings, webinars and/or facilitating community forums for the purpose of promoting and educating the community on the concept and benefits of the Family Justice Center;
● Maintain accurate records to support required quarterly grant reporting;
● Attending local community forums to educate ;
● Participate in meetings hosted by OCJP and/or the Statewide Coordinator;

- Good public relations skills
Minimum Training and Experience
- Must have a history that reflects commitment to victim services (can be shown through community volunteerism or active involvement in clubs/organizations that advocate for the rights of victims/survivors of crime).
- Must have an associate or bachelor’s (bachelor’s preferable) degree in psychology, social work, or related field -OR- have experience (paid or unpaid) working in the field of child abuse, sex crimes, human trafficking, or domestic violence.
- ● Must have experience in Project and/or program management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
