Little Green Tree House is an eco-friendly early childhood center, located in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. Our school serves children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years of age. We are also conveniently located just a few blocks from the red, brown and purple train stations. We are seeking to fill a full-time assistant teacher position. The hours are 9am-6pm Monday through Friday. In this position you will be working half of the day in one of our 2-year-old rooms and the other half in an infant room. In both classrooms you will work alongside our highly trained Lead teachers.
Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Candidates must have experience with children.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work full-time, Monday through Friday.
Job duties include, but not limited to:
- Providing a safe, warm environment where needs of the children are met, and development is fostered.
- Parent communication via face-to-face, phone calls, and emails.
- Meeting & following requirements of Licensing agencies
- Prevents injuries and handles emergencies, accidents, and injuries appropriately when they occur.
- Professional interactions with children, parents and co-workers
COVID-19 Precautions:
- Per DCFS, All Licensed Day Care Center Workers must have: at a minimum, the first dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine series or a single-dose COVID-19 vaccine.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
