Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and engage with them to understand their needs, offering tailored product recommendations.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, enhancing customer understanding and interest.
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and receipts.
- Assist with merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are attractively presented.
- Perform regular stock checks and assist in inventory management to maintain optimal product availability.
- Upsell complementary products or services to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service.
- Maintain professional phone etiquette when responding to inquiries or assisting customers remotely.
Experience
- Prior retail sales experience is preferred, especially in apparel or similar fast-paced environments.
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and the ability to guide team members effectively.
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to better serve diverse customer bases.
- Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with customers and team members alike.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math ensures smooth transactions and accurate record keeping.
- Experience in conducting product demos, merchandising, stocking, and cashiering enhances your ability to excel in this role.
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and customer service best practices will help you build positive relationships with shoppers.
