About Skyhawks
With over 40 years of experience nationwide, is a leader in skill-based youth sports instruction. We focus on beginner to intermediate athletes, building confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Our programs include:
- 12 different sports for ages 4–14
- SuperTots (ages 2–5)
- STEM Sports programs blending science and athletics
We proudly serve hundreds of communities across nearly 30 states — and we’re growing right here in Bakersfield!
Program Coach Responsibilities
- Lead and assist with youth sports classes and camps
- Follow and implement Skyhawks curriculum
- Create a fun, positive, and structured learning environment
- Communicate professionally with parents and staff
- Set up and break down equipment
- Support participant development and team engagement
Program Director (Leadership Role) Responsibilities
- Lead program planning and execution
- Oversee equipment transport and setup
- Manage sign-in and parent communication
- Ensure safety protocols are followed
- Supervise coaches and maintain program quality
- Manage rosters and submit required paperwork
Seasonal Scheduling
After-School Seasons (Fall/Winter/Spring):
Classes typically run once per week in the afternoons, evenings, or weekends for 4–8 weeks.
Staff are expected to commit to the full duration of assigned programs.
